Dave C. says, "I called Al to assess a potential safety hazard associated with room lights in our 50 year old home suddenly dimming when appliances cycled. He inspected the circuit breaker and outside main power panels, and after witnessing the behavior when our (very old) clothes dryer and HVAC system were activated recommended we first replace incandescent bulbs with LED's before investing $$ in upgrading the panels. Most likely due to aging of electrical components and appliances we have a load balancing issue. If bulb replacement is not the solution we'll have to take the next step. Al's visit was a welcome inspection, no up-sell attempt, just honest and thoughtful presentation of my options - including relief that I have no immediate safety issue. Dave"See more
