FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Some projects I price per job, but other times I quote an hourly rate of $50-$75 per hour depending on the job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to gather as much information as possible first. I don’t want to take on a job I can’t complete with total confidence. I also want the customer to get EXACTLY what they want, though it is my hope to deliver and end result that exceeds the customer’s expectations. My favorite part of the process is seeing the customers face light up when they come to pick it up or have it delivered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I apprenticed for 2 years - 40 hours a week with a professional who has been finishing and repairing furniture for over 40 years. Towards the end of the first year & through out the second, I worked mostly on my own doing projects from start to finish with occasional supervision or guidance on types of projects I had little experience in. Now I have been consistently doing my own projects from start to finish without any guidance for the last year.
