FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our prices are competitive with the other classical studios in Tulare County and are based on the length, frequency, and location of the lesson. In fact, we may a little less expensive because our lessons are offered from our homes and in the homes of our students. (A 30 minute private lesson that meets 4 times a month at the teacher's home is $100 a month. The same length lesson at the home of the student is $120.) Tuition is due on the first of each month for that month's lessons. We encourage you to call the other studios before deciding which is the best fit for your family. Grace Note Studio and Visalia Music School both have very good reputations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new client contacts me about lessons, I love getting to know a little about the student (personality, age, schedule, whether or not there's a piano/keyboard in the home, and would you like the lesson at your home.) I use this to help pull together a list of teachers and available appointment times for you to consider.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers are classically trained musicians with years of teaching experience; most hold degrees in music and the few who don't have won multiple awards in their field, are professional musicians within our community serving in the orchestra, and accompanying for choirs.
