FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always recommend meeting for a 1-hour consultation in which design advice and direct is given which is a one-time $300.00 fee and then I bill per hour. I can work on budget projects in which a design fee is set as well. Every project is different and I change the way I work to best accommodate my clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a client questionnaire which gets most of the important questions out of the way, I then follow up with an on site visit in which I will take photos and measurements. Both of these help each party get to know each other and decide to continue or not. If a client would like to continue on their own they have at least received some advice and suggestions to get them started. Should they wish to continue, I then provide a contract and scope of work. Once signed the project really begins.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed my interior design degree at Santa Barbara City College and worked for another designer for over 6 years. I also gained a lot of additional experience when I worked for my family's construction company, a flooring & upholstery business, furniture & accessories company, tile company and landscape business. I also stay up to date with current industry trends and newest products to be able to offer to my clients. My family has also been in construction my whole life so I am very much use to looking at plans, walking jobs sites and the whole construction process. I design with all of that in mind not just aesthetics which is why my motto is "More than just interior design".
