FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is minimum, meaning I’ll only charge what I think is fair. Certain services, such as quotes, simple guidance, and questions you have before starting, I often won’t charge on. In terms of live and drystock, I charge the lowest possible, which can vary upon the product/specimen in question. Over time, if we have a consistent and professional relationship, I’ll apply discounts in return, so long as it makes sense to. Any price I give you with definition I will never change the price on, even if it ends up costing me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For first time clients, I first like to know a brief history of the tank, i.e what’s gone right and what’s gone wrong, what you’re striving for, and what you’ve tried. Every tank is different, so it’s extremely important to understand what it is that makes that so.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Professionally speaking, the only experience I have in this hobby is from my own work, and working at Pet Kingdom for about half a year. Much of what I learn comes from personal experience, or secondhand accounts. Anything I haven’t seen for myself I’ll pass with caution, however I’ll always give my best opinion.
