I recently hired GCA Contractors to pave my 770 sf. driveway and I was very happy with the results from Mike and the team. The project, which took five days from start to finish, involved demoing the old driveway, removing a 300lb partial exposed boulder, installing a new drainage pipe, laying 4" concrete with crushed stone and rebar, all while carefully navigating large tree roots to ensure the integrity of our 80 year old tree. Jose, the on-site forman demonstrated his extensive knowledge and attention to detail, grading the walkway for proper water runoff and identifying when a step would be better than a steep downhill slope. Communication was excellent throughout the project. Mike kept me informed daily, either by stopping by, texting, or calling, showing his close involvement and oversight. Mike was always aware of Jose's suggestions on site and the work being done. At one point, we encountered a water drainage issue during the demo. Mike and the team quickly offered multiple solutions, explained potential costs, and discussed the long-term versus short-term outcomes. The team was also more than happy to accommodate my last-minute request for the addition of a 3/4" water line for sprinklers, really showing their desire to go the extra mile. Overall, GCA Contractors delivered high-quality work at a reasonable price. They were professional, courteous, and trustworthy, and I would definitely recommend them for any upcoming projects. In fact, I've already asked them to bid on a stucco job for me.
