Federico is simply put the best tennis coach in Southern California. I have interacted with hundreds of coaches and players over my decade-plus in tennis (which has included being a USPTA teaching pro myself and also raising three kids in the sport).
Federico started working with my daughter, Lucinda, when she was eight years old. In many ways her having reached a top 3 Southern California ranking (in G16’s), and now embarking on a professional career, are merely results. What Lucinda has received from her time with Federico has been much more than that. She’s received a very deep understanding of what tennis actually entails—an understanding that applies to life well beyond the court.
It started with a level of professionalism that Federico brought from day one and that never wavered. Not once. With Federico you will not find a coach who loves the sound of his own voice, who talks just for the sake of it (or to impress parents). You also won’t find a salesman trying to sell people on instant results (there’s no such thing!). Instead you’ll find someone whose humility belies a very high tennis IQ and a truly masterful knowledge of the entire game and how to teach it.

Federico has a wealth of tennis knowledge to share with players of all levels. He explains things in a simple way and works hard to get the best results out of his players. I have been working with him for several years and have both enjoyed working with him and seen tremendous improvements in my game during the process. I am an active pro player and I am the head coach of the Harvard Westlake boys tennis program. Federico has been my coach for years and I will say he offers the most knowledge of tennis that I have experienced as a player. Technique, tactics, mental game, physical, and sessions are a great workout. I use the lessons and drills he has taught me over the years to coach my team and now we are arguably the best high school program in the country. Federico is simply the best you will find.
