I take great pride having manuscripts entrusted to my "care." Each work is treated as though it were my own, and I treat each client the way I would want to be treated. You will receive friendly, personal attention every time. Most editors charge per read. I work with you until you are happy with the end product. Not only that, I offer full author services from editing to upload to Amazon and other self-publishing platforms. I will work with you to assign ISBN numbers, format your manuscripts, create an author platform/profile, create your book covers, as well as help you with marketing. My goal is your success. I was asked what I love most about my job-absolutely, hands down, the people. I work with so many wonderful, creative people and each has their own way of telling their story, writing a novel, or doing technical work. It is my pleasure to help them and see their work through to publication.

Liane seems to be sincere and eager to please her clients. However, I wish to alert prospective clients of the limitations of her skills. Firstly, I should say that I am a professor with 11 books (published by Princeton U. Press, Columbia U. Press and Cornell U Press) and many professional articles. I also have my own scholarly press. While she claims to be an academic, she has no real understanding of how to prepare scholarly books for publication. I had to guide her on every step of the preparation. However, the real problem was getting the book up on the Amazon KDP website. Before signing a contract, she assured me that she would have no problem listing the book on Amazon. The end result, however, was very different; it was a real mess. She submitted three different spellings of my name for the Kindle, paper, and hardback editions of the book. She also entered a different subtitle from that of the book. I have spent the past two months trying to straighten out this mess out with Amazon. When I asked her about this, she informed me that she "didn't do it" and tried to blame me. She also said that she could not correct the problem. Personally, she is a very nice and I think she means well but has serious limitations as a copyeditor and exhibits a tendency to overpromise high quality work. She is not qualified to format and prepare scholarly books. Furthermore, she is not well qualified to prepare books for publication in KDP Amazon. Caveat emptor!

I like to have a phone conversation to ascertain their specific needs and to be sure I'm the professional best suited for their work. I also review the financial terms and make sure the client understands what they are paying for.
