The moment I contacted Colin to see if he could teach my two girls who have been playing the piano for several years now, he showed immediate interest and commitment to guide them. He has been teaching them for almost a month now and the improvement in their technique and quality of daily practice is remarkable. From 14 years of taking lessons with Colin, I couldnt have asked for a better teacher. He not only helped me to become the piano player I am now, but he connected piano to life. He taught me how to connect my thoughts, feelings, and stories to the keyboard. He taught me how to be process-oriented when it came to learning or fixing parts of songs--which has been invaluable when learning any new skills. From learning Mary Had a Little Lamb to Chopin, the level of attention, constructive feedback, and energy Colin devoted was always high level and consistent. Not to mention he is by far the best piano player I have ever heard. I could go on, but if you're seriously considering piano lessons, theres no other way to go.

Colin is a talented pianist with years of experience teaching children, young adults and adults. He is one of the most knowledgeable and capable piano teachers I have ever worked with. I offer lessons to beginners, intermediate and advanced students. I’ve frequently had the privilege to coach celebrities and major artists in preparation for their feature film/television roles, and major performances.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a full ride to study music at Ohio State University and Arizona State University graduating with top honors.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my studies in music began at the age of 3 as a classically trained pianist taught by Dora Levenstein, former Department Head of Piano and Organ of the Moscow Conservatory of Music. My studies continued through high school and college where I received full ride scholarships in music from Ohio State University and Arizona State University and he graduated with top honors with degrees in Biology and Piano Performance. After completion of my college studies, Colin moved to Los Angeles where he began his career in the music industry.
