FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It all depends on the client's situation, as everyone is unique! We usually charge by the form used in the tax return. Our tax programs determines the fee based upon preset form fees. We do also offer hourly rates for other services in the representation and planning sides of our business, but we try to stress again the value we add in our services, not just paying us for an hourly rate. We review options with you to lower tax and get the misty money back in your pocket. Many times we can save more than our fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We review the prior 3 years of tax returns for accuracy and carryover information needed for the new tax return and/or tax planning and we provide a withholding review to see if adjustments are needed to be made. We provide our new clients not just a prepared tax return, but piece of mind knowing they are professionally prepared, tips and education regarding taxes and tax planning. We make our new clients feel at ease when they leave our office knowing they have someone to call all year with questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We, as Enrolled Agents, are required by the IRS to maintain our continuing education annually and renew our license every three years. Also because of my personal associations with the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the California Association of Enrolled Agents, my continuing education requirements are higher then that of just an Enrolled Agent. Every year I maintain more than my minimum required by all associations. I enjoy performing tax research and therefore each year I am trying to learning something new that will benefit my clients.
