FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is typically project-based, allowing for a clear understanding of the total investment upfront. This approach considers the complexity of the project, the length of the final video, the number of revisions required, and any specialized services like motion graphics, color grading, or sound design. Here's a breakdown of what you should know: Project Scope is Key: The more detailed your initial brief, the more accurate my quote will be. Significant changes in scope after the project begins may result in adjustments to the price. Hourly Rates (Less Common): While I primarily work on a project basis, for smaller tasks or ongoing collaborations, an hourly rate can be discussed. This will be clearly communicated beforehand. Revision Rounds: My standard pricing includes a defined number of revision rounds (typically 1-2 major rounds). Additional revisions beyond this may incur an extra fee, ensuring efficient project completion. Rush Fees: Projects with tight deadlines may be subject to a rush fee to accommodate expedited work. This will always be discussed and agreed upon before starting. Discounts: I occasionally offer discounts for repeat clients or for projects that fit specific criteria (e.g., non-profit work, longer-term collaborations). Please inquire if you believe your project might qualify. Payment Schedule: Typically, I require a percentage of the total project cost upfront (e.g., 30-50%) to secure your booking and begin work. The remaining balance is due upon final delivery and approval of the video. Payment methods accepted include [Specify your accepted methods, e.g., bank transfer, PayPal, etc.].
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is designed to be collaborative and ensure your vision is brought to life effectively: Initial Consultation & Discovery: We'll start with a detailed discussion about your project goals, target audience, key messages, desired style, timeline, and budget. This can be via phone, video call, or in person (if feasible). Creative Brief & Proposal: Based on our initial conversation, I will create a comprehensive creative brief outlining the project scope and a detailed proposal including the estimated cost, timeline, and deliverables. Pre-Production Planning: Once the proposal is approved, we'll move into pre-production. This may involve storyboarding, script review, shot list creation, music selection, and gathering any necessary assets (logos, footage, etc.). Your input and feedback are crucial during this stage. Editing & First Cut: I will begin the editing process, assembling the footage according to the agreed-upon plan. You will receive a "first cut" for your review. Feedback & Revisions: You'll provide detailed feedback on the first cut. I will then incorporate your revisions, ensuring the video aligns with your expectations. We will go through the agreed-upon number of revision rounds. Color Grading, Sound Design & Final Polish: Once the core edit is approved, I will move on to color correction and grading, sound design (including mixing and mastering), and any final polishing touches to enhance the overall quality. Final Review & Approval: You will receive the final version of the video for your review and approval. Delivery of Final Files: Upon your final approval and receipt of the remaining payment, I will deliver the final video files in your desired format(s) and resolution(s). Post-Project Support (Optional): Depending on the project, I may offer post-project support for minor adjustments or future collaborations.
