I have a very good accent in French. By the way, my accent is from Le Midi, or Southern France. It is not Parisian. Rather, it reflects the lilting phraseology of the troubadours and their songs from centuries back. Helping folks improve their speech, in any language.

Chris promised she would tailor the lessons to my needs -- and she has lived up to the promise completely. I am an adult student, self-studying, trying to revive my high school French. Every once and a while I come across a problem I have trouble with -- pronunciation, a grammatical construction, or other problems -- and I want help dealing with it. First of all, Chris listens to me explain the problem -- really listens -- then addresses the problem directly, plainly, and completely. She goes over examples with me, staying with the issue until we are satisfied that I really understand it. I imagine that other students might have different needs -- starting to learn French from scratch, or learning how to deal with certain sorts of conversations, or whatever. I am sure she would understand exactly what each student needs and tailor the lesson accordingly. Let me add that Chris is friendly and intelligent.

I hired Chris helping me correct my English pronunciation. In the lesson she picked out where my pronunciation is wrong during talking and gave me examples and helped me practice. I think it is very helpful.

2016-2017 Chris helped our daughter pass her 1b French placement test with just a few weeks of summer study! Our daughter felt very comfortable and looked forward to the classes. Chris has a great style, she showed her respect as a person, was easy to work with, and helped make the concepts clear so that she could apply them in unknown situations, etc. We will continue our sessions and we recommend her. I have had Chris as my tutor for three years now and I have definitely seen a difference in my grades and reading,writing,and speaking in general. Only three years is required for a language at my school but I am going to continue on taking French knowing that Chris will be there by my side to help me continue to excel in my class!

Chris is very knowledgeable in teaching French. She is patient, accommodating, well organized and goes at a pace that is comfortable with the student. She comes down to the level of the student and steadily brings it up. We were pleasantly surprised with the progress our child has made. A 5 of 5 star recommendation.

My pricing is $25 / 30 minutes through video conferencing at https://helpouts.google.com/111648742799419266896/ls/abbfb947afffcb9a Longer sessions are available, priced by the minute. If I travel to you, I charge the IRS rate factor for mileage (56.5 cents per mile).
What types of customers have you worked with?
I help them improve their speech by reducing the "noise" (mispronunciation, incorrect linking, confusing intonation, rate of speaking that is difficult to listen to, etc.) from the pure sound that is most easily understood.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I have a client who is US-born, but prefers to discuss French pronunciation in Spanish, as these two languages are far more similar than are English and French. Since she and I both speak fairly fluently, many concepts are easily shared and quickly absorbed, without having to be expressed in a detour through English first.
