- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Always an initial telephone conversation. In this way I can prepare for our initial meeting. A low key, no pressure, meeting to go over the wish list. Sometimes I can give some ball park numbers at this time, but usually I get back to my spreadsheet and work out an accurate quote, and time frame. When accepted, I have a full 1 page contract that is clear and concise. This protects our relationship from any misunderstandings in the future. With larger projects, I (work and payment schedule) that is clear. This will provide a time line of what is to be done, and when payments are due. There will be no guessing, and no confusion as to what is being paid for and how much. Plus it provides a "Target" completion date. At the end, if there is a punch list, we take care of it. Then there is the final payment upon approval from the homeowner. In the end, the "" situation closes.
