- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All licensed appraisers in California are required to maintain a level of continuing education to keep their license current. My classes and license are up to date. Recent classes include valuing "green" or energy efficient buildings and financial analysis of hold periods for income property.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I perform appraisals for trusts, estates, property dissolution, due diligence for development and also transactions involving a sale.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I performed an appraisal on a coastal commercial property that needed both a valuation in the past (retrospective value) and a current valuation. The current owner was entertaining offers from prospective buyers and needed an analysis that went beyond the current broker's services. I was able to help the owner get a good feel for the current market and provide an accurate valuation of the property currently as well as determine the value from 13 years ago.
