We had interior painting done in a remodeled area of our home plus all exterior by Arana Craftsman Painters. With an emphasis on quality over speed, we had two rainy periods of time when Arana stopped their work so that conditions were optimal for priming and painting. When humidity levels and surfaces were just right, the work resumed. As far as prep, the detail of sanding work was impressive. Worth every penny, the quality of the craftsmanship and paints used was best-in-class and long-lasting. To their promise, the house is beautiful. Small details were taken care of after the job was completed -- it was service with a smile all the way through. I was very impressed with this level of customer care!

I would like to give my highest recommendation to Ernesto, Catherine, Steve, Jon and the whole team at Arana Craftsmen Painters. It is rare to find a home-improvement contractor whose professionalism, efficiency and precision are matched by such warm, caring and flexible customer service. Arana painted my kitchen beautifully in 2009 and I did not hesitate to contact them again in early 2017 when I needed to paint the full interior and portions of the exterior in preparation for selling my home. Not only did they complete the job on budget and perfectly within the tight time-frame we had agreed upon, but they did it while expertly dodging incessant periods of heavy rain that kept us changing the project schedule on the fly! I couldnt be more thrilled with how fresh and elegant my home looks and only regret that I wont have the pleasure of living in the newly-beautified rooms. Overall, they have truly managed to retain the spirit of a small family-run business while at the same time operating what must be a very complex operation with grace and ease. They take great pride in the gorgeous work that they do and I could tell what a happy place Arana is because the friendly smiles and laughter of the painters continued throughout the whole project. I received bids from four paint companies before I chose to go with Arana Craftsman Painters. Price-wise they were mid-range. Before the job started we had many discussions about various aspects on their bid. Not only did I have the house painted I also had a front deck painted and back deck stained and then after the job was almost done I asked them to paint my fence. The pre-paint discussions really made me feel good about choosing them. Then, I had a colorist with a contract from Arana help me chose the right color scheme. I am so pleased with the colors. Neighbors keep coming by to compliment the look of the house.Once the team came out to start the prep and paint work it all went quickly and smoothly. Everything was done perfectly. I did not have to ask them to fix anything, which for me was the best (no stress). They communicated about every step of the work. Honestly, they did everything they said they would do and all on time. It looks wonderful! I could not ask for a better paint job. The guys were wonderful to work with, really nice guys at my house each day, such a pleasure.Highly recommend.

I used Arana Craftsman Painters to repaint our stucco house and am very happy, even several years later. I had delayed and delayed the paint work (for years - some of my window trim was nearly naked) and the amount of prep that was required was substantial. They did a fantastic job in all respects. Their bid for you will be on the higher end compared to others, but they are there as long as it takes and don't cut any corners. (I've heard horror stories of low-ball paint bids that go wrong when the prep time exceeds expectations). I was actually out of town when they did the prep and my neighbors on both sides were observing and later told me how impressed with the level of detail that went into the prep. Once I returned, they did a great job fixing the aesthetics of prior poorly done, large and unsightly stucco repairs (probably from the '89 earthquake) prior to the actual painting. Be sure to tell them during the estimate visit if you are planning on dark or deep colors, and if you are excessively particular like I am. Their team is quite charming and professional! They honor their warranty and check back in every year or so to make sure that the work is holding up as expected. I would definitely hire them again!

She and her staff always answer the phone, they fix anything on a job that ever goes wrong -- the need for which is rare because they are so good at what they do. She treats her employees like family; she brings people under her wing and grooms them and they stay with the company long-term. We provide Proposal/Contract with a scope of work and our work process, pricing and payment schedule. We work on a fixed price bidding process which means you know up front how much things are going to cost. We are not the cheapest.

We schedule a site visit, discuss your goals, timing, review the areas that need work and document. We typically deliver a proposal within 5 working days of a site visit.

We have over 40 years combined experience in the industry. Our painters are lead safety trained and we are a licensed C33 contractor.
