- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every year we have a minimum of hours of coursework and tests to complete. It is to continue to update the always changing tax laws and landscape. Every year the tax law changes, so each year and each case changes.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Our most common types are individual tax returns. Some may be single, some may be doing taxes married jointly. Most cases are from working with a W-2. Some have 1099s, and tax deductions from things such as charitable contribution, home mortgage interests, student loan interests. We also do businesses taxes including sole proprietor, partnerships and corporations.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When selecting a tax preparer, consider the following: Determine the certification and education the individual has. How long he or she has been in business? How experienced he or she is with small businesses in general? Most importantly, decide if he or she will be personally working with you and preparing your forms.
