FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Regarding pricing, I want customers to be informed and confident in what to expect. The $30 fee covers the cost of my initial visit or inspection, during which I assess the irrigation system and provide an estimate for the required work. Importantly, if the customer chooses to hire me for the job, this fee is included as part of the overall payment. For specific services, such as replacing an irrigation valve, the cost is typically $150, inclusive of materials. It's important to note that the $30 fee for the initial inspection is not an additional charge; rather, it goes towards the overall cost of the job. For issues like leaking anti-siphon valves, the replacement cost is $150. When it comes to repairing drip lines and emitters, each emitter replacement is priced at $5, excluding the installation of the hose. The installation cost of the hose varies depending on its length but generally falls between $200 and $250. Similarly, for nozzle replacements, the charge is $6 per nozzle, taking into account the brand and model. Additionally, my standard hourly rate for labor is $100 for the first hour of work. This rate covers the cost of my labor and expertise beyond the initial inspection fee. For instance, if a customer requires a single sprinkler nozzle replacement, the total cost would be $106, inclusive of the $30 inspection fee and $100 for the first hour of labor. I aim to provide transparent pricing, ensuring that customers understand what they're paying for and feel confident in the value they receive
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer begins with them contacting me regarding their irrigation needs. Upon initial contact, I charge a $30 fee for a visit to provide an estimate. During this visit, the customer describes the issues they are experiencing with their irrigation system and informs me if the issue is urgent or not. We then schedule a convenient appointment for me to assess the project in person. In some cases, based on the description provided by the customer, I can provide an immediate quote via text message for straightforward tasks such as valve replacements, typically priced at $150. However, for more complex projects, I prefer to visit the site to gain a better understanding of the scope of work required. During the estimation appointment, I thoroughly inspect the irrigation system, discuss the customer's requirements and preferences, and provide a detailed quote for the project. I ensure transparency throughout the process, answering any questions the customer may have and providing recommendations based on my expertise. Once the customer approves the quote, we schedule the work at a mutually agreed-upon time. Throughout the project, I maintain open communication with the customer, keeping them informed of progress and addressing any concerns that may arise. Overall, my goal is to provide exceptional service, tailored to the unique needs of each customer, ensuring satisfaction and efficient resolution of their irrigation issues.
