- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
. Warm Up- Basic movements to assess fitness level, mobility, and coordination. - Cardio warm-up (jogging/jump rope/jumping jacks) - dynamic stretches (squats/leg swings/arm circles) - sport specific movements (footwork/hip escapes/defensive techniques/shadow boxing) 2. Drilling technique (pads)- the basics of the martial art of choice. - defense (checks, guards, foot work) - striking (punches, kicks) - The move (BJJ) 3. Application (pads or gear depending on experience) - Putting the techniques together
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- I have been training Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA since 2008, under Rudi Ott at Smash Gyms. - I have a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Leonardo “Glo Glo” Seixas.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
- I have experience training clients as young as 5 yrs of age to clients as young as 70. - I enjoy the process of teaching clients with no athletic or sports experience in need of a foundation, to professional athletes looking for an extra push and technical work. - I also have experience in coaching clients with different goals, from supplementing weight loss, self-defense, wanting to learn a martial arts, finding a fun way to move, or fighters who want extra work to sharpen their tools.
