FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is simple for a photography service. I provide the session and images for one combined, upfront cost. I offer a minimum number of images for any given session which I select and hand edit from the client's total film. If I have more than the guaranteed number of images, I will generally provide those as well which is why I say that the client receives a minimum number of images. Prints and products can be purchased through me, if desired, but isn't required like in the old days of traditional portrait studios.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I strive to find out what the client is looking for in style and products. We will talk about the client's vision and expectations. As the conversation occurs, I answer questions and try to educate my clients when expectations are contrary to my process, collaborating where possible. My goal is to leave no room for assumptions for either party. I want my clients to feel confident that they know what will happen from the process of booking, taking the pictures, and delivering the images. I try to be open and transparent so there is no confusion for anyone.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In order to continually educate myself on both technique and the industry, I'm a huge fan of creativeLive.com where I engage in many of their photography workshops. Some of the top photographers in their fields share their knowledge on that platform and I do my best to take advantage of it.
