FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't charger per square foot like some artist, but i charge per the complexity of the content per project. Example: Painting trees and a sky on a wall compared to painting architecture or a face or text takes more skills. Text needs to be spot on or you will notice the imperfections. If I'm painting a person, it needs to be spot on to recognizable. When painting a tree, no one will know if i make a mistake for there is room for error. Does this make sense? Also, painting an object that is reachable from the ground level is not as expensive compared to painting the same object on the top of a two story building. It takes more effort to paint the object. Also it is dangerous to paint high so one must take their time for safety.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Find out what the client wants painted and see the wall or substrate that it will be painted on. Then find out what is the timeline for the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained by professional painters so I know what paint will last and what colors will fade. I learn about the new products from the paint stores to know the durability and how to apply it. I went to art school but didn't learn anything about supply durability. I took the volition to learn on my own since I'm painting exterior.
