- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We follow a simple process for every customer Before the move - Get a Quote and discuss your future move with our specialist - Schedule your move, e-sign contract and receive confirmation via email During the move - Conduct a walk-through with a crew, then sit back and relax with your drink of choice. We’ll handle everything else - Settle your bill and start enjoying your new space
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each mover goes through an initial 3-month of training and another 3-months of on-the-job learning: New movers often shadow seasoned professionals before their first job. This allows them to observe best practices, workflow, and customer interactions in real-time. We have a rigorous 3-month training protocol that includes: 1. Orientation and Company Training: Overview of Company Policies and Safety Protocols 2. Physical Training: Body Mechanics: Training on proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and Endurance Building: Engaging in physical conditioning to prepare for the demands of moving. 3. Equipment Familiarization: Use of Tools: Training on how to properly use moving equipment such as dollies, straps, and lifts and Vehicle Operation: Learning how to safely operate and load/unload moving trucks. 4. Packing Techniques: Packing Methods: Instruction on how to securely pack different types of items, including fragile goods and Inventory Management: Training on how to label and track items during the moving process. 5. Customer Service Skills: Communication: Learning how to effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates. Problem Solving: Developing skills to handle unexpected challenges during a move. 6. Hands-On Experience: Apprenticeships: Working alongside experienced movers to gain practical experience in real-life moving scenarios. and Mock Moves: Participating in practice moves to build confidence and teamwork. 7. Continuous Education: Workshops and Certifications: Attending additional training sessions on topics like customer relations, specialized moves (e.g., pianos, antiques), or advanced packing techniques.
