FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For individuals it is based on the size of the design, placement, and the level of intricacy. Designs with a lot of detail, that are very large, or on a difficult to reach area of the body are going to take longer to work on and therefore are more expensive. Parties: As much henna as you want for as many people as fits in that time frame (2 - 20 people in 1 hour depending on design size/intricacy).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Brides: In-person or over the phone consultation including what the bride is looking for in her mehndi, style, intricacy, size, and area. We would also discuss unique additions to the design such meaningful symbols, or traditions unique the bride and grooms families, or the groom's initials/name. Individuals/party booking: Phone or e-mail consultation discussing the size of the henna designs for the individual and/or their party guests, the number of guests and the length of time, and location.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I initially learned to do henna in Pakistan and attend professional development and training for henna artists in the U.S. annually to keep my skills fresh and continue growing.
