Hired Roberto for electrical work throughout my home. We agreed on a total of $5,000 for the entire job. He started by picking and choosing which parts to do first—some of which he left incomplete. He then broke down the pricing himself: over $4,500 for the top floor, and $500 for the ground floor. In total he said pay me $5k. I will do the job for you. I agreed I specifically asked if he could handle patching the walls after running the wiring. He said yes. Based on that, I agreed to the price. The moment he was about to complete the top floor, he was brooding over the work on ground floor. Once I paid him $4K money, his tone changed—suddenly, the remaining work was “too much,” and he walked off the job. No proper closure, no accountability. I have no clear record of the details about the materials he bought with the money I paid. Bottom line: he lacks professionalism. The value for the money? Meh—borderline acceptable. But for what he charged, you’d expect more than handyman-level service.
