Introduction

Hello - My name is Rob Hughes. I have spent the last 40 years living and working in the Bay Area as a residential builder and facility maintenance supervisor for construction and property management companies. I have been using Thumbtack for about four years and enjoy doing projects and meeting new customers. I have about 15 customers that call me regularly for their handyman needs and have recommended me to people they know. Lastly and most importantly, I enjoy helping people with their home repairs & improvements and making sure the work is done to their satisfaction. I am so glad I met Robert through Thumbtack. He got my curtain rods installed, my shoe cabinet secured and even tested my ceiling fan for me, all within a couple of hours. Rob was very responsive and new exactly what was needed from the time the photos arrived for the project for him to review. He negotiated a time that was convenient for us and arrived on time wearing a mask, gloves and practiced social distancing. We really appreciated the candor, honesty, a bit of humor and honesty. When he arrived, he assessed what had to be done and went right to work, cleaning up as worked in the project. Rob discovered an issue when putting things back together after clearing the drain that some of the parts weren’t properly put together in the first place, so he came back the next day to complete the task and made sure that everything worked. All in all, an excellent and professional job, listening intently to our needs and making sure the job was done to our satisfaction. Thank you!!

One of the best experiences I have had. Robert worked on my backyard shed replacing the doors and refacing the frame. Kept me updated about the progress and took care of all the details.
