Introduction
My work in face painting stands out from my warm and personal touch and my love of children and people in general! I like the freedom to explore on a canvas that is temporary. Not feeling like the work is going to be permanent, as in canvas or paper, helps me to let my creative juices flows and try to techniques and ideas. I can then translate some of these new things I learn as I paint to my other forms of art. I value my work so all deposits are non-refundable. If an event is cancelled, the deposit is used as a credit towards a future event.

I had a mural done for my baby’s nursery and it turned out incredible. Not only is she an amazing artist but she’s really reasonable to work with and was happy to incorporate some of our fun and corky ideas. She even brought some really cool ideas to the table as well. I highly highly recommend her to anybody looking to do a mural in their home.

Sarah-Joy was a delight at our event; a big hit! She was awesome with children of all ages and her face painting skills are amazing. She was quick but took time to make sure the children were happy with their choices and comfortable, especially with the younger ones. I’d hire her again!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I like to keep my hourly rates affordable because I want my services to be accessible to all. I raise my rates during busy seasons like Halloween to make the time and stress a little more worth it, and if I have to travel distances taking over 30 minutes.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been painting since I was old enough to hold a brush: probably 3 or 4 years old. I began with watercolors and oil paints, then acrylic, and in recent years, my new passion: face and body paint. I was always very protective of my work and refused to take art classes because I wanted my art to be my own. I finally broke down in college and added a studio art minor to my Spanish language major and quickly discovered that I was in heaven. I'm not sure if I ever chose visual art: I think it chose me.
