- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Open training: I occasionally host donation-based training sessions in Mission Dolores Park ~ all are welcome to attend These open meet-ups are a good opportunity to do some training, and get a better idea of the kind of services I offer, without pressure or commitment. Times and exact locations vary ~ please inquire for details. - below are my rates for private or small group sessions: 1-2 people 60-70 minutes ~ $80 60-70 minutes ~ 4-pack ~ $290 3-4 people 60-70 minutes ~ $100 60-70 minutes ~ 4-pack ~ $360 5-6 people 60-70 minutes ~ $120 60-70 minutes ~ 4-pack ~ $430 please note: for traveling to a client, I charge an additional fee based on distance (measured from Mission Dolores Park) 1-4 miles ~ $25/meeting 5-9 miles ~ $35/meeting 10-14 miles ~ $45/meeting 15-20 miles ~ $55/meeting 21-27 miles ~ $65/meeting
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to have a voice, video or in-person conversation with new clients to discuss their goals, priorities, martial arts experience and any questions or details that may be of interest to them. Based on this initial discussion, I will formulate the basics of a training program that we can adjust and execute as the client prefers. Regarding gear, I have several extra/loaner gloves and bits of protective kit, but using your own is best ~ potentially useful items might include: hybrid/mma gloves (fingers) ~ 4-10oz boxing gloves (no fingers) ~ 10-18oz groin protector shin/foot protector body (belly/ribs) protector boxing/mma headgear fencing mask knee pads elbow pads mouthguard wrestling ear protector heavy jiu jitsu gi top
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with people of many different ages, from 5 to 75 years old. I have worked with people of many different backgrounds, lifestyles, body types and levels of fitness. I have worked with people who don't speak very much English.
