- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My approach is structured to ensure safety, comfort, and progressive learning: Initial Assessment: The first step involves understanding the student's current swimming ability, comfort level in the water, and any specific goals they have. This is usually done through a brief conversation and a basic water comfort test. Personalized Lesson Plan: Based on the initial assessment, I create a tailored lesson plan that aligns with the student's skill level and objectives. This plan outlines the skills to be learned, techniques to be developed, and the progression of difficulty over time. Safety Briefing and Introduction: Before starting the lessons, I provide a safety briefing, discussing pool rules, emergency procedures, and basic water safety. This ensures that the student feels secure and informed. Skill Development and Instruction: Lessons are focused on gradually building skills, from basic water confidence exercises to more advanced swimming techniques, depending on the student’s progress. Emphasis is placed on correct form, breathing techniques, and building endurance. Regular Feedback and Adaptation: After each lesson, I offer feedback to the student and discuss areas for improvement. The lesson plan is adapted as needed to address any challenges and to keep the student motivated and progressing. Progress Evaluation: Periodically, I assess the student's progress against their goals. This helps in recognizing achievements and adjusting future lessons to focus on new skills or areas needing more attention.
