I've done five sessions with Jae so far. Each time he pushes me harder than I have ever pushed myself on my own. Jae is all about correct form and encouraging me to maintain it in every exercise. His facility is great--super clean and well equipped. Since it's my first time with a trainer, it's great that there's never more than one other trainee/trainer there. Jae is showing me that there's no reason to spend hours at the gym when an invigorating 60 minutes (including stretching) is giving me a total body workout, completely customized to my body and my fitness goals.

J+K fitness studio was exactly what I was looking for in terms of helping me learn skills and exercises that I could take with me when I went back to school in the fall. Jae and Megan helped me understand why we were doing each exercise and pointed out problem areas for me to improve upon. Jae also educated me on diet and sent me weekly fitness regimes for days I wasn't in the studio. Overall, I would definitely come back if I end up in the Bay Area!

J+K Fitness Studio has been transformative for me. The training is TOP NOTCH. I own a fitness equipment business and am exposed to all types of training, but the level of experience and the care put into training here are on another level. Focus on mobility, range of motion, and steady progression means I can work out hard and not worry about getting injured. Shout out to my trainer Brett for consistently excellent sessions at all times of day and for Jae for keeping me on track!

    We offer an array of different training packages. With a larger amount of training sessions purchased, a greater discount is given. For One on One Training: From 108.40 per session on a smaller package to 78.50 per session on our largest package... For Partner Training From 142.60 per session on a smaller package to 120.60 per session on our largest package

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Many Clients who come to us are looking to make dramatic changes in their appearance and feel great about being in their own bodies. Our mission is to guide them safely and intelligently to their goals. In addition we have many clients with a host of ailments (lower back issues, ACL to MCL injuries, rotator cuff issues, muscle imbalances that could potentially lead to a major injury/dysfunction... Our mission is to develop safe and challenging workouts for them. We're firm believers that injuries shouldn't limit a clients' ability to exercise and affect their quality of life.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    There a few attributes that would be on the top of my list if I was looking for a fitness trainer. Accountable, inspiring, motivated, empathetic, and invested in a client's success in reaching/attaining his/her goals. Experience and knowledge and possess an accredited certification from either NASM, ACSM, CSCS. A solid trainer should exemplify that balance between emotion and science and have a body of work to prove he or she has helped a few people... Also don't hesitate to interview a few different trainers, you'll ultimately be spending more time with them than some of your friends. Make sure it's a good fit and if you're not sure try a session or two with them.
