FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently offering interior murals starting at $15/square foot, with discounts for larger pieces. Pricing is dependent on a number of factors, most importantly the amount of detail in your design. If you have a budget in mind, we can discuss what is possible for your space. Exterior projects between $15-20/square foot. Now is a great time to book a garage mural- standard sized garage murals $750 (all materials included). If you want a mural for your school or non-profit, or would like me to facilitate a youth-led mural for your space, these are also possibilities- I provide discounts for schools and NPOs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you message me, send me some photos of the space where you'd like the mural. Dimensions are very helpful, as is information about the condition and texture of the wall. I can provide you an estimate via message (typically a price range). If you book an initial site visit with me, we will talk in-person so I can see the wall(s) where you desire a mural. We will talk about your ideas for the space, and I will provide you with a firm quote reflecting your desire for the space. If you decide to work with me, you will pay a deposit (25%-30% of the project cost). Upon deposit receipt, we will engage in more design consultation. I will share sketches (typically 2) and ideas with you to ensure you are happy with the plan for your custom mural. The deposit pays for this design time and any paint and materials that need to be purchased for your project. If you lead a school or youth organization, talk to me about facilitating mural creation for your youth. I am also happy to work with your child to design and execute a mural for their room. This is an empowering process for young people to participate in and can make your space truly unique and reflective of your school or organization. Discounts provided for murals for non profits organizations or schools.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an BA from Brown University with concentrations in Education (secondary- History and Art) and History of Art and Architecture. Brown's unique partnership with the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) enabled me to take painting and drawing classes at RISD throughout my undergraduate education. My Masters in Art Therapy is from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In addition to the therapist training I received there, I had to maintain an independent art practice and fulfill art course requirements.
