I worked with Kunjan to upgrade my apartment to a more modern look and feel. She was absolutely AMAZING. She has a great style eye and worked with me to understand the vibe I was going for in my space… She provided a range of recommendations and explained step by step what items worked in my space and the vibe certain items would bring to my space… Kunjan listens to her Clients to fully understand their needs and i could not be more pleased with how my space looks and feels. We hired Kunjan for an interior design project: to help improve our living space without making any major furniture purchases. Kunjan helped us make our apartment feel like home! She is very talented, and was a complete joy to work with. There are a several things that are worth mentioning. 1) She spent time with us, in person and on pinterest, learning what we liked and didn't like. 2) She used everything that we already had to the maximum extent possible. 3) She was great at finding cost-effective things and thinking of cost-effective solutions for what we wanted. 4) She has a really great eye for interior design and color! 5) She clearly and professionally communicated about the budget throughout the time she worked with us. 6) She was extremely committed to our project, and accommodating to our schedules. 7) She is easy going and fun. We are so happy with how our home looks now. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her.

Working with Kunjan was the best experience I have ever had with an interior designer. If you are contemplating hiring one, HIRE HER. She is the perfect balance of professional, organized and structured along with very creative, playful, kind and fun. Working with her was a complete delight. Not only was she respectful and supportive of our budget for furnishing our entire one-bedroom apartment, but she was diligent at finding us lots of cost-saving opportunities (eg, waiting for holiday sales, using certain coupons, etc) so we finished perfectly within our budget range. She also adapted well to my and my fiancee's styles: both aesthetics for the apartment and working styles for communicating, selecting and ordering all of our furniture. It made working with her efficient and low-stress. We have already recommended her to our friends who are moving to the city and STRONGLY RECOMMEND her to you, too!

Kunjan did an incredible job decorating my entire 1000sq foot condo. She helped choose furniture, artwork, fixtures, and accessories while working with the existing furniture pieces. She created a beautiful, modern, stylish space that brings me joy to come home to every day. She pushed my style boundaries and used color and accessories in ways I never would have considered on my own. I trusted her judgement and am thrilled I did-- the end result was phenomenal. I feel like I live in a home decor magazine cover :) Kunjan spent significant time upfront and during the design process to determine my style preferences and used Pinterest boards to make reviewing options easy for me. She was notably patient throughout, always listening to my feelings and tastes and not becoming frustrated when I was unsure or choosey about purchase decisions. Communication was great because she dedicated time to me, was accommodating of my schedule, and was very responsive to texts and emails. She always knew just the right stores to look for particular pieces, and proactively made economical choices when she could find the same look for less. Overall, I would highly recommend Kunjan for interior design needs and will use her again in the future if I ever need a style refresh!

Kunjan is such a passionate, problem-solving, collaborative designer! She worked to understand exactly how we use our space, what we like about the pieces of furniture/art/decor we have now. She flew out to New York to take photos and see our space in person. Then over the course of many months, she explored different solutions with us, item by item, helping guide us towards a cohesive vision, without ever making us feel pressured into making decisions prematurely, or buying things that didn't feel like our style. And all while keeping a close eye on our overall budget - when a bigger purchase is justified, and when we can get a similar effect for less money. And she would always take time to listen to our thoughts on each item, help us evaluate the pros and cons, and suggest another solution if we couldn't agree on something we liked. That constant communication made sure we always felt like we were working together towards a common goal. And then, at the end of the project, she flew out one more time to do some final styling and take photos of the finished space. We absolutely love the result. We know every item is something we chose for a reason, and we see how everything fits together to make the space look and feel better. We are so grateful to Kunjan for her hard work and dedication to transforming our apartment! She is the best!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have two pricing options - Flat project fee (based on the project scope) and Per hour fee - @$200 (with a minimum of 5 hours).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We suggest an initial call to set up an in-person consultation where we discuss the project scope (style, timeline, budget and pricing). We then send out a formal contract with the detailed information regarding the project. Once that's signed and agreed upon, we create a Pinterest board and start sharing options of the items ready to purchase. Our process is simple and as interactive as you want it to be.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Interior design and styling has always been something I wanted to do all my life. It was a passion that I turned into profession 2 years ago when I started my Home Decor blog. I recently launched my online home decor store.
