I’m an engineer and manage teams of engineers. In my line of work, you can pretty quickly tell who’s trying to quickly get a job done and who cares about the details and getting them right. While I haven’t worked with many handymen/contractors, spending some time with Stan on my closet reinstall project made clear to me that Stan cares about doing things the right way. Basically, my closet system fell out of the wall. Stan came quickly, removed everything, patched everything up and meticulously painted, was thorough in his communication about our choices, and reinstalled the closet system while carefully checking all the details along the way. He was also a pleasure to work with - you have to spend time with the person you hire after all. I would easily work with Stan again. I was skeptical of the professional I would hire on Thumbtack and waffled on who to hire - luckily I went with Stan.
