Introduction
My name's Sean Michael Robinson, and I'm an illustrator/cartoonist/writer, specializing in pen and ink, watercolor, illustration inks, and classic design. I'm also an excellent mimic, able to work in a variety of styles, all with excellent client communication, and an incredibly quick turnaround time.
I'm the co-author and illustrator of Down in the Hole: the unWired World of H.B. Ogden, a book of meta-criticism involving The Wire, bricolage, faux scholarship, and faux authorship. I'm also a musician, and occasional contributor to The Atlantic, The Comics Journal, The Hooded Utilitarian, and other sites starting with The.

I've experienced many of Sean Michael Robinson's talents first-hand; I've performed and recorded with Sean the musician / songwriter, I've commissioned Sean the visual artist to create vibrant, eye-catching posters, and I've read and enjoyed Sean the author's articles and books. It's rare that someone can simultaneously excel in so many disciplines; but he really does. He's also an excellent instructor. Part of why he's such a great instructor is that he's also a great student of all these different skills. He is very familiar with beginner learning curves, getting over the bump after early successes, and what it takes to master a craft and he has the patience and kindness to help other people through those struggles too.

This guy is simply outstanding. He's one of those people whose work often ends up being the main selling point of whatever it is you're making. If you need his services snap him up quickly before Pixar locks him into an exclusive contract.

Sean Michael Robinson is a multitalented wonderful professional & amazing artist! We are filmmakers who needed a portrait sketch that plays a key element in our indie feature film. Sean made himself available to us immediately and worked around our schedules. We didn't have an actual photo, so he literally had to recreate something from scratch and he had the patience to work with us! He worked closely with the director of the film and wouldn't leave until it was exactly how he wanted it to look. Sean Michael is wonderful to work with and we would recommend him to all!!!
