FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I honestly have to say that my prices vary depending on the type of work needed. For example, a laptop screen replacement depends on the cost of the screen. Also, if a person wants to replace their hard drive on laptop or desktop and simply wants to reinstall the operating system without any data recovery, the job is pretty straightforward, but if they want to recover the data and reinstall it on a new hard drive, then that would be a different price. Also, setting up a printer can be pretty simple but connecting the printer to various devices could be a challenge so the price point would be different. And all situations I try to be as fair and reasonable as possible and provide the best possible computer versus pair experience for all my customers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I tend to ask a lot of questions to know just what the customer wants accomplished while I am there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I didn’t go to traditional school to learn how to fix computers. I actually had a friend who was involved in a company and he worked in IT services and he provided some training to me which gave me a steppingstone to get involved in computer repair work. Later I got involved and opening up my own computer repair business to provide services to my local community.
