- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Beach Boy's Appliance Service & Repair uses The Major Appliance Service National Price Guide as a base for our pricing structure. Jobs are quoted at extremely competitive flat rates which include parts and labor. We have a standard $19 service call charge which is only applied when the decision to not have work completed is made.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will evaluate the nature of the problem to narrow down possible causes. We will give an initial "soft" estimate based on the symptoms your appliance is displaying. Upon arriving and further physical diagnosis we will give you a firm, flat rate quote that includes parts and labor. This will all be completed before the work starts so there are no surprises later. All repairs are done in home.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently we were called out to a dryer with a burning smell emanating from the vents. Upon further inspection it was found that a flash fire had occurred in the base of the dryer from lint buildup. We were able to clean out the dryer and remove the charred lint before it was able to flash over again. The customer had the dryer serviced in the past but no one ever made an effort to remove buildup and debris which was the source of the fire. At Beach Boy's Appliance we take the extra time to do the job right and perform simple preventative maintenance while servicing your appliance. This extra step only takes a matter of minutes but many service companies neglect to go the extra mile leaving behind a potentially dangerous situation for the future.
