Humidity levels have been significantly higher than normal this summer, and in order to tackle them I've had to resolve several issues, including plumbing leaks, HVAC breakdowns, and roof repairs. Since all of the above are risks of mold/dry rot I decided to hire Golden Bay Restoration to do a full inspection of the walls & crawlspace to see if there was any lasting damage and whether there are any remaining moisture sources that need to be taken care of. Geronimo responded quickly, visited my house on time, and was very thorough with his inspection. He took detailed measurements throughout the interior, crawlspace, and attic and saved photos of everything for me. He spent over an hour investigating every corner of the home, and was able to (a) provide photo evidence confirming that the wood in my home is in good condition, no signs of mold or dry rot & relative humidity levels of the wood itself are below 15% which is normal range (b) provide photo evidence of the location and shape of water stains within the crawlspace which completely explains where the remaining moisture sources are I got all the information that I needed from a professional inspection and then he said inspections are free and he doesn't charge for them unless something is wrong that needs immediate repair!! He insisted he won't bill me so I tipped him in cash generously for his time (any other contractor would have charged an inspection fee / diagnostic fee!!) and if I ever need anything related to dehumidifying, water damage, or mold/mildew/dry rot in the future I will be going back to him for sure. Thanks Geronimo. I'm a huge fan 🙂

Geronimo and his team at Golden Bay Restoration went over and above my expectations. Not only did they remove all of the mold affected areas, but they repaired all of the areas, and painted. They were also able to replace the affected flooring. They explained all of the work, and also gave me some great prevention tips. They cleaned the work area when they were done each day, and were very considerate in all of our interactions. They arrived when they said they would, and often stayed later to complete sections of the project before they left for the day. The value for the work that they did was also excellent- fair prices and quality work. I highly recommend Golden Bay Restoration!!
