FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer students a free 30 minutes trial lesson for us to talk about their goals and my teaching style, basically for us to get to know each other better. I have monthly packages that are less than my individual hourly lessons. Come take a free trial lesson with me and we can discuss these rates!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For guitar/bass lessons, I will assess your musical level (if you already have experience playing guitar/bass) or talk a little about the instrument (if you’re a beginner). We will then talk about your favorite genres, musicians and what you want to learn so I can suggest songs that will improve your techniques as you learn them. In songwriting, if you already have experience we can review your songs, and how to come up with ideas to polish them further, and most importantly, how to overcome writers’ block. If you are a beginner, we’ll talk about the main songwriting structures and building blocks of songs, what is storytelling and how to use it in writing your lyrics. We always spend some time listening and analyzing music of your favorite artists so that you get some insights from their writing styles to use in your own music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Berklee College of Music Alumni with a degree in guitar performance, song writing and Music Production.
