Are you looking for an engaging, organized, and dedicated instructor with a passion for music and teaching? My name is Lance Harrington. I have taught private and group lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, including international students for over 18 years. My approach to teaching is catered to each individual student's skill level and desired knowledge, while establishing the fundamentals of music and theory in a fun and educational way. I am classically trained having studied music extensively under Joel Taylor, Bennett Friedman and at the California Jazz Conservatory, in addition to receiving music consultation from Ronnie Vannucci, Jr. (The Killers). In addition to music education, I am a session musician having recorded instruments for many artists at various studios in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, including 4th Street Studio alongside producer, Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, Live). I have performed at notable venues such as Oakland Coliseum, Xfinity Live!, House of Blues Hollywood, The Viper Room, Great American Music Hall and many more. I have extensively toured the United States and Europe, as well having my work featured on NETFLIX and MTV. Lesson pricing is conducted on a monthly basis and includes both individual and package sessions. Full payment for the desired amount of lessons during the month is made upfront to ensure your lesson date and time slot are reserved. Drum lessons come with a free pair of drumsticks, guitar lessons come with a free guitar pick to help students get started! I have written several books based on music notation, rhythmic patterns, scales, intervals, and chords to assist in my educational process. I also use widely regarded books such as "Syncopation for the Modern Drummer" by Ted Reed, "Stick Control for the Snare Drummer" by George Lawrence Stone and "Music Language and Fundamentals" by Ronald Gretz.
