I met with five pool removal contractors including Chris Lattuada. He stood out amid the group because he carefully listened to the details of the project, clearly understood the depth of the work, and took time to weigh all of the elements in play (the property layout, the proximity of the house foundation, the future landscape plan) and was able to communicate the potential long term impact of pool removal on our house foundation. He created a detailed plan and scheduled the work to be done in a realistic, timely manner. Throughout the project, Chris conducted himself as a well-experienced professional. He consistently arrived early, made sure his men and machinery were ready to begin on time, and treated my home, family, and neighborhood with respect. When minor concerns came up during the course of the work, Chris brought them and the best and most efficient solutions to my attention. It was clear from the first through the last day of the project that Chris cared about the quality of his and his men’s work and the success of the project. When the project was complete, I am extremely happy with the results and 100% satisfied with Chris.

I had my inground pool filled. Chris is a nice guy. And you trust him pretty quickly especially when he answers your calls even when he’s driving to the mountains. So when he says he will take care of you, you believe it. Other contractors told me this was a manual job as no machines were small enough to get up and down the side of my house. Chris insisted he could. And he did, but not with unexpected damages. I would have said no if I knew. Then as damages were done he said he’d fix and he did… but not without an attitude and not without doing a terrible repair job. Look at that brick fix, seriously. He left without blowing or hosing off dirt as I would expected and you can see the mess and what I had to do. Then once I cleaned it all I noticed the large trailer that held the concrete along with his machines damaged the driveway in multiple areas. I hope I’m wrong that he knew that and knew I would see it if they did clean it up. I called him and texted him to ask about doing driveway repairs, I have yet to hear from him. It’s been over 4 months. I hate hate hate having to do this but I’m sick and tired of contractors not doing what they say and standing by their work. I paid a lot for this work and now have to have a planter box redone; driveway repairs; fence repair…. Shame on you!!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There’s an initial phone conversation to determine whether the project, client, and company are a good match if it seems so then we can move on to a visit at the property. Which can be a confirmation of an over the phone “FaceTime “ bid for a handyman or demolition job leading right into the start of the job if so discussed. I will work out of town on some types of projects. In certain areas.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have an A engineering license as well as a B license for this company. Plus years of structural work experience.
