FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is normally an hourly based rate. Personal and home office fees are the same. Business fees are different but affordable. Some jobs are flat rate given the kind of work required and distance necessary to travel to job sites. However, my price points are middle of the road (compared to larger or retail based outfits) so as not to dissuade people from accepting my offers. I do offer discounts to return prospects as I really enjoy making lasting relationships with people while providing quality work. Here's the breakdown... Home office/personal services: $120 hourly (1 hour minimum) Professional office: $150 hourly (1 hour minimum)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication and personal approach. I'm atypical for some when it comes to technical services. Combining personality with my skills, so that everything shines along with work ethic, is the goal. I prefer getting to know clients upon meeting them to establish connection with trust. Life's true currency is relational, no matter if its business or family. After assessing clients needs and requests, obliging those things by executing the work to their satisfaction makes everyone happy. Keeping things as simple as possible for the client is best in my book. A job is better well done than well said sometimes. Not everyone cares to know details, just as long as everything stays working above standard. Under promise, over deliver.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been employed by local community colleges, small businesses, independent business owners, and nationwide technical service corporations as direct hire or contractually. Most of my experience with education was accomplished through CompTIA A+, Net+, Microsoft MCSA, and MCITP online courses, but my hands-on experience has provided more valuable than class time. Knowing how to research with knowledge on tap via the internet has been exponentially valuable to me.
