Jon and his team have gone above and beyond on our project. They added a sliding glass door, updated our closets, remodeled the kitchen, added canned lights...oh, and he will be installing floors next week. They even cut down a tree! This team is amazing. Had them hang drywall in my one car garage. They matched someone else’s price and I chose them because they could get out sooner. I should have gone with an actual drywaller. Quality of work was really poor. I can tell a lot of sheets were dropped because many of the corners are crumbling. The two guys they sent out were nice but they didn’t have the tools or knowledge to do it competently. No 1/8” gap between some sheets so the drywall does not have room to expand. In other spots, the gap is 1/2”-3/4”. Tons of screws punched through the paper so I’ve had to go back and add screws. Sharpie lines left on the drywall. They didn’t have a T square in sight and blades were dull. Could have just measured, scored and snapped the drywall but instead, the cuts were really rough. At one point, I walked by the garage and saw that they had put up a sheet and were using a reciprocating saw to cut the edge down to size. Took 3 days when it should have taken 1. There really wasn’t that much prep work despite them telling me there was. If a nail didn’t come out, why spend a ton of time hammering them all the way in? Just use the saw to cut it off. They also drywalled over the garage door spring so it was rubbing into it, grinding tons of dust and made the garage door stiffer to open. I cut that myself and am having to do a ton more prep work — fixing over sunk screws, tears and crumbling spots —than had a well trained team done the work. I’ve since had other work on my house and other contractors thought I did the work myself, by myself and for the first time. That’s not a good sign. I wasn’t even going to leave a review at all but they have gone radio silent since they’ve been paid. I just need a receipt or invoice for my taxes. Contacted both Jon and Ibrahim to no avail. They are nice. Maybe they do other stuff well but they didn’t do this well.
