Our experience with Alex was great! However, I didn't realize that there were three handy men with the same first name and not three post from the same handy man. I contacted one and I was contacted by two, whom I thought was the same one until I got a call after the work was done by one handyman from the other handyman saying he was on his way. That is when I realized that I had not been texting the same handyman each time before the work was done. So I apologize to the handyman that called later to say he was on his way. Unfortunately, I had already got the job done by the other handyman a couple of hours earlier and paid him. Also, I learned from the handyman that did the repair that he did not charge by the hour, but by the repair. He text me prior to coming that he had done my kind of job last week and that there might be alot involved if the track had to be replaced, etc. etc. And if so, the job would run between $150 and $200. So I took that to mean that the job might take more than an hour to complete and/or he might need to go purchase a part, which would be between $150 & $200 @ $60 an hour. However, the job did not take but 15 minutes to complete and he did not have to purchase any damaged pieces or parts. But I was charged $150 instead of $60 and when I explained to him my understanding of his text to me and that the repair took less than an hour, he said that was why he charged me the lower price .. $150. I was happy to get the door fixed and not in the mood to go back and forth given there was clearly a great misunderstanding...I just paid it. But my husband and I were disappointed because we were charged $150 for a $60 job.

Thank you so much for your review and for sharing your experience. I understand there might have been some confusion regarding pricing, especially with the mix-up involving different handymen. Let me clarify where the minimum charge of $150 comes from.
The minimum charge includes one hour of work and typically an hour or more for travel. At a rate of $60–65 per hour, this totals $150. This is a standard practice, as $60 wouldn’t even cover the time to travel to your location. Every handyman has a minimum charge in addition to their hourly rate, and this information is always listed in their profiles, including mine.
I’m truly sorry for the misunderstanding, but I’m glad I had the chance to meet you and assist with your repair. If you need help again in the future, I’d be more than happy to assist you.

I was able to hire Alex and Ivan on the same day I booked them. They work was great quality and both were very nice. And while I had them fixing a broken handrail, I was able to ask themm to fix a bathtub nozzle. Great guys and I will definitely be rebooking with them.

Alex arrived at my house and before he came inside he put on booties over his shoes so he wouldnt drag in anythong from walking up to my house. He looked at the tv and eixstonf wall more nt and was able to use it. He mounted the TV and made everything worked and then je cleaned everything up and left. Grest service and explained what he was going to do and did it

Alex was very quick with getting back to my proposal. He was flexible when I needed to push my appointment out a little bit, and he was resourceful when I asked for his opinion about the texturing of my home. He was able to provide a quote to me within the day. I ended up not using Alex for my complete home texturing project because a family member who paints for a living, was able to help me, but I would have gone with Alex because his quote was fair and communication was quick!
