Introduction
I recently became a Dog Trainer but have loved dogs my whole life. Being a Personal Trainer in the Fitness Industry and running my own gym for the past 20 years has given me the unique ability to work with people on behavior modification. I am proud to bring those techniques to the dog training industry to help pet parents build a relationship with their pets built on trust, respect and love.

My family and I are beyond grateful we made the decision to place our now 5 1/2 month old puppy, Nike, in Dog Fit LA’s 21 day board and train program. Nike was a difficult puppy who loved to bite arms, demand bark, nip ankles on walks, and refused to settle outside playpen. I was sleep deprived and felt like a failure. I called Dog Fit La to discuss training options. Joe was so knowledgeable and informative about dog training. I felt heard and validated for what I was going through with Nike. After reviewing options with my family, we decided to have Nike do board and train. While Nike was in the program we received daily photos and updates of Nike, it was the highlight of my day. Joe dropped Nike off on her last day and spent over 2 hours with us teaching us how to train, what to do when Nike does certain things, and reviewed Nike’s triggers in the house. Joe explained everything to us in a way that made sense and was easy to implement and understand. I am proud to say I am no longer Nike’s chew toy. Nike is able to chill, I can take her to restaurants, the beach, stores and walks. Nike is now easily redirected when triggered. Nike is learning impulse control. Nike relaxes while my 78 year father watches football. Nike stays on her bed while my mother cooks in the kitchen. It amazes us that our once rambunctious puppy can chill out without protest. Nike now has a dog pack she sees once a week when she goes to Dog Fit LA’s daycare. We will continue our training journey with Nike because it is so worth it. We are beyond thrilled that we now have a dream dog.

Joe is an incredible trainer and has been a lifesaver. He has helped work through all of my dogs issues when no one else had been able to. He is extremely responsive and truly cares.

Joe is a dog whisperer! He worked with our family to train our new puppy recently, and he really understands dogs and how to work with them. I especially appreciate that he tailored his sessions to work also with my children to ensure they understood the lessons and felt confident in training our pup. Whenever we had a question Joe was so quick to respond and would send examples in between classes if we had an issue to address. I’m just under two weeks our pup waits calmly to go in and out of our house, waits politely to be invited onto furniture, and is mastering walking on a leash, and multiple other commands. We are definitely continuing to work with Joe!

I am beyond pleased and happy with Joe's work with my puppy. I went from having a dog that I could not even approach without being bitten relentlessly to having a loving little companion. The biting was so bad that I was on the verge of considering rehoming my dog, even as a lifelong dog owner, and felt out of options until Joe stepped in and helped me see how I could rebuild my relationship with my dog. My dog emerged from Joe's board and train program with new confidence and good behaviors, and Joe has taught me how I can maintain her new positive traits by myself at home. Well after the board and train program, he continues to be quickly responsive to any questions I have from how to tackle issues with my dog to training new commands. Joe truly saved my relationship with my dog and I am eternally grateful for all he's done for both of us.

Joe is the best there is! He treats your pet as if they were his own. One of the main reasons I picked his Board & Train program over the thousand others in Los Angeles. He would send me almost daily updates on my Sasha and would always be available when I reached out for questions. Sasha came back to us after the B&T so much different. She is less reactive to dogs on walks and is more respective of boundaries in our home. I will continue to take any future dog I may adopt to Dog Fit La & will always recommend to other dog parents!
