I kindly ask that you please read the Intro and FAQs before contacting me as Thumbtack charges me for the initial communication :) Thank you!
*Yes, I'm officially back in business after taking some time off!*
Hello! My name is Jenney and I offer premium, a cat-exclusive boarding expawience second-to-none! I board cats (and other small, non-dog animals) in my home in PLEASANT HILL. As someone with 2 cats of my own, I personally know how stressful it can be to leave your furry family member in another's care while away, which is why I decided to open my home to single-household boarding. I continually work to create the best atmosphere possible for kitties by making it as home-like as possible, with lots of 1:1 attention and frequent communication with pet parents. And as a bonus, you'll also be helping rescue animals! Since 2022 I've committed to donating 5% of all proceeds to Joybound (formerly Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF)) in Walnut Creek
The Details:
I board only one household at a time in a given space. This means your cat will have their own private large bedroom to themselves (or with other cats in your household) in a quiet, clean environment with a large window and plenty of treats, toys, cuddles and room to run around (see photos)! They won't be exposed to dogs or any other animals (including mine). I work from home most of the time (I go into the office once a month) and have a flexible schedule that allows me give your kitty plenty of love and attention throughout the day!

A little about me: I've been caring for cats personally and professionally for over 25 years and started boarding in July 2020. I've had a number of cats of my own and have worked and volunteered at shelters around the bay area, including SPCA in Santa Cruz, Joybound (formerly Tony LaRussa's Animal Rescue) in Walnut Creek and Cat Town in Oakland. Several years back I worked the front desk at The Cat Hospital in Campbell, so I have some basic medical knowledge, can give medications and know cat CPR! I have experience fostering cats and kittens for Cat Town as well, working to turn them from feral to friendly so they're adoptable.
All of this experience has helped allow me to learn to sense how cats are feeling, read their body language and sense how to respond in order to make them feel safe. Boarding can be difficult for some cats, but I have a number of tricks up my sleeve to bring out even the most fearful feline! It will also be important for me to chat with you to learn more about your cat(s) personality beforehand so I know best how to help them adjust :) I also know that boarding can be just as hard or harder on pet parents, which is why I provide frequent updates and photos and can even arrange a video call with your fur baby!
Please note:
I do have two adult cats (Miles and Lottie) of my own who are in good health, however your cat(s) will be housed separately at all times and will not come in contact with them or any foster cats who also have their own dedicated space.
For safety reasons, I do not allow pet parents inside my home. I'm happy to do a video conference, however!
