FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to the customized nature of my services, fees will depend on: 1) Type of service needed (pointed pen calligraphy, brush lettering or hand engraving) 2) Live on-site services or if can be done in-studio 3) Description of services needed (e.g. Thank You cards, brand activations, etc.) 4) Material to be worked on (such as paper, glass, metal, etc.) 5) Quantity of items needed 6) Turn around time (Less less than 14 days notice will have a minimum 50% rush fee) As I learn more about your specific project needs, I can provide more detailed information. I'm happy to discuss with you your budget and how my services can best fit within your allowances.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with new customers, I like to start an email correspondence with questions learning more about their project. This email chain will be helpful as we start refining the project needs, timeline schedule, and fees. I'm also happy to jump on a call as well to discuss specifics. When a good understanding of the service is established, I will issue an agreement and invoice with a description of services rendered. To fully formally lock-in your project, I do require a non-refundable 50% deposit due within 5 business days from signed agreement. Depending on the services needed, I will issue a design sample proof of the calligraphy style that will be used for your item(s). Once the project is complete, an invoice will be issued with the remainder balance due within 5 business days from invoice date. I'm happy to answer any questions and/or address any concerns my clients may have during all phases of the process. Communication is key!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
To get a good understanding and clarity of your design intent, it would like great if you could research the style and mood you would like to convey in your project. Sharing mood boards, Pinterest pages, and even accounts you are drawn to on Instagram all help in understanding your vision.
