Introduction

I have provided high quality pet services for a number of years now. I work well with owners of the dogs/cats/birds/fish meeting their needs. Whether it be dog sitting, or cat sitting, providing companionship & vet appointments when needed and maintaining Heath issues as needed. I pet sit which is always a great experience. Getting to know each dog, cat, bird and their individual personalities gives me great pleasure. I also walk dogs and the dog walks I have at this time each one shows their excitement in their own personal way. however i am not taking on any more steady dog walks at this time. I do chuckle. I presently work for a no-kill cat shelter. I clean, scoop, medicate when necessary and give a report everyday to the executive director. I have been involved with animals for some time now and involved with a non profit no kill cat shelter for approx 14 years. It's very enjoyable and fulfilling. I took care of the dogs boarded at VCA animal hospital and also in treatment area. Unfortunately they are only open 6 days a week now which deleted my position there. I take pride in taking care of any health issues that arise by notifying the someone from the medical team also by medicating the animals as well. I take great pride in caring for animals and also being an advocate for animals. I take great pride in making the animals comfortable and loved. I will take snapshots of the pets and check in daily with the owners so they are totally in the loop while they are away. I am one person who has knowledge thru my experience, learned knowledge and involvement with cats and dogs and their behaviors and quite capable of seeing any emergency type situation that may arise while in my care. Because it's always about the animals well being and what's best for the animals i am absolutely a great caretaker for animals and because they need someone who can speak for them. They are all such innocent beings and deserve the best always and this is why i will do a great job for you. At this critical crazy time i am still available and am taking all precautionary measures to stay safe.

Teresa was a real find! She took care of our cat and our bearded dragon while we gone for a week and did a wonderful job. She even watered our plants and took care of other odds and ends while we were away. She even tended to the dubia roaches that we use to feed the dragon. I would highly recommend Teresa, and next time we go out of town she will be our first choice in pet sitting.

Teresa is a very capable pet care person for all kinds of pets. Dogs, cats, tortoises etc... we hired Teresa and gave her instructions about our routine with our pets and she did them excellent. I have already asked her for our next outing and will use her again. We really like her experience and her responsivness. We get daily pics and a summary of the day.

The good: She was nice. She sent pictures like I requested and even video, which I really appreciated. She works at a cat shelter which gave me comfort. The only bad: When we walked in our house it reeked of cat pee. So so bad. The litter has been scooped but not changed out with new litter the whole 2 weeks she visited our house (every other day). I had showed her where the new cat litter was (very visible), and she must have smelled it when she came in and out. Especially the last visit she was here, it must have reeked. It would have been clear to her that that’s what we have smelled when we came home. If she didn’t see it right there she also could have asked me where it was. It was a horrible thing to come home to. I’ve changed it now, the first I did when I came home because it was unbearable. But it still smells awful all in the house, 15 minutes later. Wish she would have asked.

We love our kitty but she can be a handful. Most cat sitters never bond with her. Teresa, has a gift. We call her the cat whisperer. She immediately bonded with our kitty and everything went wonderfully.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my pricing is the same for all of my customers. I have a set price for sitting and a different set price for dog walking. I am negotiable though.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I speak with my customer first. I then set up an in person visit with the customer to meet not only the customer but the pets as well. I then discuss my schedule to make sure the customer is comfortable with my being away from the job site at different times of the day. If customer is comfortable I then discuss the picking up of key to the job site and any special duties like medicating and/ or care schedule for the pet. I always send a daily check in through text message to let owner know all is well. most of my customers pay in advance but I do accept payment at the end as well. whatever the customer is comfortable with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in a no-kill shelter for several years now. I had prior training for two years in a vet's office. i am currently enrolled in a pet health and grooming class.
