My name is Janay Van Sylk and I’m a professional freelance makeup artist.
I’ve been in the beauty industry for 17 years. My makeup artistry experience is
broad and consists of beautifying brides and bridal parties, boudoir sessions,
fine-tuning makeup for headshots, creating timeless looks for special
occasions, film, and editorial work, and teaching makeup lessons. I have
learned the best makeup techniques and skincare practices. I pride myself on
educating my clients and I feel that this is very important for reaching an
individual’s beauty success. I work on location, primarily in the greater Palm
Springs area, and California’s southern coast, but I am open to travel. Please

Janay is truly amazing at what she does. She did a great job for my engagement photos and my wedding. Janay is so sweet & really made me feel beautiful on the most important day of my life. All of bridesmaids looked stunning. I couldn’t have been more happier with her work. I would highly recommend her and use her again for any event!
