Introduction
Different stables specialize in different riding styles. Some are competition oriented and want their students to enter many horse shows. Others specialize in one type of riding, such as Trail Rides, Western Lessons, English Lessons, Dressage or 3 Day Eventing. Others require that you own your horse or purchase one after riding one of their school horses. We offer English riding lessons for everybody, whether or not you wish to own your own horse. Competing in shows is an option but not a requirement. We just want people to enjoy the sport in any form they wish without feeling any pressure of any type. People who board their horse with us ride both Western or English style. I love sharing the communication and love of the horse with others. These are the most special creatures in the world and can teach us all of life's lessons just by being around them. Bringing happiness to a childs life or a troubled individual through working with horses is such a reward to me.

Granddaughter having lessons, changed instructors because Kaitlynn was geared more to the younger children, love her as a trainer, very friendly and knows what she is doing.

She initially responded to my inquiry for a birthday party and set me up to think it would work out, but then just stopped responding. I had to go find another horse stable for a birthday party for my two daughters that we had already planned when she told me it would work.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We give daily riding lessons to ages 3 to Adult on our 12 safe Lesson Horses. We have 4 experienced Instructors to teach any riding level. Our Summer Day Camps are offered throughout the summer and fill every year. We have two different camps, one for ages 6 to 8 and another for ages 9 and up. People love to have their Birthday Parties for their kids at our stables, as they get to interact and groom the horses they will ride. Girl Scout Troops can earn their badges through our program designed just for them. Our Boarders love our centrally located Stables, across the street from Orangevale Park that has an Arena and riding trails.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for somebody to teach yourself or a child to ride a horse, it is very important to check out the stable's experience with teaching riding. It is not required to be a Certified Instructor to teach lessons, so checking out the facility and asking questions about the Instructor's experience is necessary. Our Head Instructor is British Horse Society Certified as well as AHSA Certified, and has been teaching for 40 years.
