- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It is important to know what the budget is since time, material and design play a huge role in the cost of final project. Also what type of tools are used on the job, - I am proud to keep my tools in excellent working condition, - better cuts. Always sharp tools in the shed, so to speak. So there cannot be a standard pricing system. Design crafted is time dependent not dollars and cents.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Lead customer in the right direction of material selection. Give them a ballpark figure. Helping them in the process of getting what they are looking for to a fair price with quality products and supplies. Quality takes time and in general you spend the same amount with those material as you would with Run of the mill Big Store Home Improvement Items. Face It the Labor is the Same, the products are the same, but the quality of production differs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an AD in civil engineering from the FHS Ingolstadt as well as 2 years of extended practice and studies at the Max Planck Institute in Munich. Searching and learning about new products and concepts that contribute to a healthy living environment have led to my Green Building Certification at SBCC, Santa Barbara. I further undertook studies in restoring natural habitats at SBCC
