1. I just LOVE shooting weddings! It is my passion in life, it brings me such joy to be a part of each unique wedding!! 2. I'm not interested in "perfect" wedding photos, I like to find the beauty in the imperfect moments. 3. I have a special talent for shooting with shy people, who might not naturally be "photo"people. 4. I'm an artist at heart, I will deliver a mix of some traditional shots, but I will also give you some surprising, beautiful and unexpected images. 5. I offer BIG discounts to Thumbtack clients. Because most of my weddings book 1-2 years in advance, Thumbtack allows me to offer 50% off my regular pricing, if you are booking less than a year in advance. And the more "last-minute" the wedding, the deeper the discounts (whoo-hoo!)!! 6. I've won lots of awards and been published in lots of beautiful places (Style Me Pretty, The Knot, Marie-Claire, Elle, Green Wedding Shoes, Grey Likes Weddings). 7. I'm told that I'm a "stealthy, photo-ninja", you won't even know I'm there. I don't want to be intrusive or interrupt the flow of the day. And apparently, I bring good vibes!!

Alexa is a talented photographer that is professional, punctual, and comfortable to be around. I am not the most photogenic nor comfortable much in front of the lens, but Alexa did a wonderful job in capturing perfect in-between-moments creating natural beautiful photos. Thanks again for commemorating one of the biggest days of our lives! My husband, myself, and our future family will treasure these pictures for years and years.

Alexa was amazing! The whole day of the event she was everywhere and nowhere. Very patient and got some amazing shots. I was a little apprehensive about booking someone who wasn't referred from a personal recommendation for such a big day. I'm so glad I trusted my instincts and went with her. The work is beautiful, we are so happy with our wedding photos!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is SUPER discounted thanks to Thumbtack!! So I can offer anywhere from 40-60% off my regular pricing, because I can book weddings last-minute! So if your wedding is within 2-4 months, I can offer 60-70% off. If your wedding is within 4-6 months, I offer 50% off, and if your wedding is 6-8 months away, I offer 40% off. Just email me if you have any questions!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a phone call, so we can get to know each other, and go over all the details and questions. This is also a great time to talk about wardrobe, location and any other important details. If you decide you'd like to book me for your project, then I collect a little more info, put together a contract and take a 50% deposit to hold the date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design, with a major in photography. I have shot film and digital for nearly 10 years.
