FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most of my pricing is centered around the cents-per-word model, but each project is unique. I never want the cost of my services to be a barrier to you creating your best work, however, and am willing to discuss a variety of options to help us work together.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to chat a bit before I start on your manuscript so I can get a real sense of your dreams and insecurities about the work you're doing. That way, I can, along with my standard and experienced attention, lead with work that forefronts your goals for the final product. Once I've gone through a first draft (either editing or ghostwriting), we'll talk again before I make my final revisions. I value work that is collaborative and welcome as much as your input as you're willing to give to ensure your manuscript best reflects your voice and vision.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold an MFA from Mills College, have published three books of my own (one of which won the California Book Award) and have over fifteen years of working in literary settings from workshops, to presentation organizations, to colleges to presses.
